Middle East

Responding to crisis across the Middle East

Dorcas is active in five countries in the Middle East: Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt and Yemen. Our involvement stems from a protracted state of humanitarian crisis in the region, driven by conflict, displacement and economic instability. We focus on emergency relief, protection, and building resilience for the most vulnerable communities.

The Oasis Community Centre

In Egypt, the Oasis Community Centre in Cairo provides a safe space for refugees and marginalised communities. Through education, vocational training and psychosocial support, the centre helps people rebuild their lives and find new opportunities.

Unseen struggles in Yemen

Yemen is experiencing one of the world's worst humanitarian crises. Through our programmes in Al Dhalea and Taiz, we provide food security, psychosocial support and water infrastructure to communities facing the devastating effects of conflict and displacement.
