Strengthening communities across Eastern Europe
Dorcas is active in four countries in Eastern Europe: Albania, Ukraine, Romania and Moldova. In this region, our work is designed to strengthen remote communities and increase livelihood opportunities. This includes economic development, protection, and community safety nets for older people.

SMILES Programme
In northern Albania, the SMILES programme provides an integrated approach to improve the wellbeing of poor and vulnerable people in Tropoja and Puke, combining social empowerment, protection and inclusive entrepreneurship.
Supporting families in Ukraine
Through the Future for Children programme, Dorcas Ukraine supports families affected by conflict. Children receive educational support, psychosocial care and safe spaces to learn and grow, while parents are helped to regain stability and hope.
Blue Bucket Campaign
The Blue Bucket is a food collection initiative active in Albania, Moldova, Romania and Ukraine. Volunteers and churches collect food donations in blue buckets to support vulnerable families and older people in their communities.
