Our governance
Dorcas is a Christian organisation that provides humanitarian assistance for people who live in poverty, are excluded or have been affected by a crisis. Our organisation values transparency, accountability and good governance in everything we do.
Good governance
Dorcas has a two-tier board structure, consisting of a Supervisory Board and a Management Board. The Supervisory Board appoints the members of the Management Board and monitors the organisation’s policy.
Dorcas adheres to the recommendations of the Wijffels commission for good governance of charities, and is certified by the CBF (Central Bureau on Fundraising).

Transparency and accountability
Dorcas is independently verified against international quality and accountability standards, including the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS), ISO 9001, Partos 9001, and the ECHO Humanitarian Partnership Certificate. Dorcas also holds CBF Recognition as Erkend Goed Doel and publishes project data through IATI.
Integrity
Dorcas has an Integrity Reporting Point where (suspicions of) integrity violations can be reported. You can contact the Integrity Reporting Point by sending an e-mail to integrity@dorcas.org.
