Give warmth this winter

The days are getting shorter and colder. We turn up the heat and put on a warm sweater. Because we can. In Eastern Europe, where the winter is notoriously cold, it has started to snow and temperatures have dropped below freezing. For the poor, this is the most difficult time of the year. Will you give them some warmth this winter?

• You can do so by donating money to the project Briquettes for the elderly in Romania, a new light-weight fuel to warm their homes this winter.
• Adopt a granny – via Dorcas’ adoption programme. Thanks to this programme, elderly people receive material support, medication, firewood and food. Social workers visit the granny’s regularly so they are no longer isolated and lonely.
• Help refugees in Syria, who are facing a long and cold winter period while many of them are living in tents.
• ‘Donate a meal’ – Two euros equal eight meals in our soup kitchen in Ethiopia.

The projects are described on www.dorcas.nl. If you want to receive more information, please send your e-mail to redactie@dorcas.nl.

Your gift enables us to bring warmth to the lives of the poorest of the poor. All the beneficiaries in the Dorcas projects thank you for your support and your prayers this year. Together with them we wish you a blessed holiday season. operatie-warmhart
